Meet Madison
My Story
I'm Madison D'Elia, a Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Lactation Counselor passionate about helping infants, children, and their families thrive through feeding and communication support.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a minor in Psychology, from Appalachian State University and my Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Scranton.
Through experience in school, outpatient pediatric, hospital, and NICU settings, I discovered a passion for supporting families during the earliest stages of development. These experiences reinforced what I believe to be true: feeding and communication are deeply connected, and both begin long before a child's first words.
Today, I am honored to partner with families throughout the Charleston area, helping them navigate feeding challenges, build confidence, and celebrate milestones along the way.
"Feeding and communication are deeply connected, and both begin long before first words."
My Approach
At Latch & Language Therapy, I believe that feeding and communication begin long before first words. Every child learns and grows within the context of their family, which is why caregivers play an active role throughout the therapy process.
My goal is to provide practical, evidence-based strategies that fit naturally into everyday routines, helping families feel confident in supporting their child's development. Together, we focus on meaningful progress that supports both the child and the people who care for them most.

What Families are Saying
The following testimonials reflect the experiences of families Madison has supported throughout her professional career.
“Maddie has been such an incredible blessing to our family during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. As the speech therapist working with my premature infant on lactation and feeding therapy, she walked beside us every step of the way with so much patience, knowledge, encouragement, and compassion.
What felt overwhelming and scary in the beginning became manageable because of her guidance and support. She never made us feel rushed or alone, and she celebrated every little victory with us. The progress my baby has made is truly amazing, and I honestly don’t know how we would have gotten through this journey without her.
Maddie is not only incredibly skilled at what she does, but she also genuinely cares about the families she serves. We are forever grateful for the miraculous difference she made in our lives. ❤️”

“Miss. Maddie has been amazing to our sweet girl! She has really helped with her development in speech and life skills! She is always so friendly to all the children. She makes sure each speech session is special and meaningful. Our daughter always talks about Miss. Maddie and always looks forward to seeing her every week! We constantly hear her saying “I want my Maddie” lol.”

“Madison has been great to work with. My son loves going to speech and he’s improving after each session . Madison keeps me updated with his progress and what they’re working on each week . She always provides a paper for him to practice and she explains what she does to help him so that I’m able to try it at home !”

“After having my first baby, I was still having pain while breastfeeding one month PP. it was so bad that every time my daughter would latch I would cry. I met with Maddie virtually to see if there was something that could be done. Not only was she super understanding and attentive, she got to the why of my baby’s poor latch and explained why it was worse at certain times vs others. I started implementing her strategies immediately and saw results within two days. The pain has gone away, my daughter feeds great, and all it took was calling Maddie!”
